  • VIA WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE / E-COMMENT: Members of the public who wish to comment on matters before the City may submit written correspondence to the City Hall Black Drop Box or the following email address: [email protected], or by e-comment on the City’s website, by no later than Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 4:00pm.   • IN­-PERSON COMMENT the City Council will provide members of the public with the opportunity to address the City Council in-person on any issues within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Council or to speak on items on and off the agenda, except for Public Hearing items. WAIVE READING IN FULL OF ALL ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS ON THE AGENDA

That the City Council waive reading in full of all ordinances and resolutions on the agenda and declare that said titles which appear on the public agenda shall be determined to have been read by title and further reading waived.

Recommendation to conduct second reading of Ordinance No. 2023-611 entitled: An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Hawaiian Gardens, California, repealing and replacing Chapter 5.30 to Title 5 of the Hawaiian Gardens Municipal Code, imposing regulations on sidewalk vending in compliance with Senate Bill 946 and 972.

SUGGESTED ACTION: Approve Recommendation.

Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. 026-2023, clarifying the Public Safety Commission’s responsibilities.

Recommendation to receive and file warrants processed during the period of June 3 to June 30, 2023.

SUGGESTED ACTION: Approve Recommendation.

 

5.

Recommendation to receive and file Treasurer’s Report for May 2023.

SUGGESTED ACTION: Approve Recommendation.

 

6.

Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. 027-2023 approving an amendment to the agreement between the City of Hawaiian Gardens and the Southeast Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board to conduct an FY 2023-2024 “Youth@Work” Program from July to December 2023 and to adopt these funds into the FY 2023-2024 citywide budget.

Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. 028-2023, fixing the appropriations limitation in the City of Hawaiian Gardens for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.

Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. 025-2023, adopting an amended and restated Citywide Records Retention Schedule and establishing a records retention policy.

Recommendation to approve the appointment of Luis Gonzalez to the Planning Commission.
